Master Brendan O’Toole and Ms. Amy-Jane Troy recently attended the European Congress held in Skovde, Sweden. With the opportunity to attend the 28th Senior and 19th Junior European European Taekwon-Do Championships, Master
O'Toole remarked on the excellent performance of the Irish team, evident by their ranking position as 5th in Europe. Master O’ Toole would like to congratulate all students, coaches and supporters on their commitment to training and outstanding performance.

TKD Sport 2013 “The Gathering IV” on Sunday 23^rd June 2013.

TKD Sport covers events for all age’s individual pattern, sparring and special technique along with team points sparring and tag team sparring.

Please find the tag team sparring rules at the bottom of the information document.

The black belt sparring gold medal winners will also take 25% of the category entry fee!

TKD Sport will take place at Linlithgow Academy, Braehead Road, Linlithgow, West Lothian, EH49 6EH. Edinburgh airport is also only 20 minutes’ drive and Glasgow Airport is 45 minutes’ drive. Everything from Bed & Breakfast to 5 star hotels are available...

The next INTA Technical Seminar will be held on 11th & 12th May, At Maynooth Post Primary School, Moyglare Road, Maynooth, Co  Kildare. As usual this will be a pre-registered event.  All club Instructors should return the attached excel sheet to info@portarlingtontaekwondo.com detailing your clubs members attending this event by 8th May.

Fee's for the seminar should be collected by a representitive from each club.

This representitive should register the entire group with the complete fee's (cash only, no cheques) and a hard copy of the registered members prior to the start on Saturday 11th May. The event poster is attached to this post,  Instructors are encouraged to display this in their clubs.

The 2^nd INTA Junior Sparring Challenge will take place on Saturday the 25^th May 2013 in the Donnycarney Community & Youth Centre, Clancarthy Road, Collins Avenue East, Donnycarney Dublin 5 at 11am sharp. This competition is open to all INTA colour belt students 15 years of age and under and is open to all yellow belt students and above. This Challenge is limited to the first 100 registered students.

More details will be posted out to all INTA Instructors shortly.

The Irish Times website carried an article today on the positive impact of martial training, with particular focus on combating bullying. Master Martin and Beaumont Taekwon-Do Centre feature.

Last Fridays sparring class with Mister Nicolae Mesina proved to be a very enjoyable class with a lot of sparring drills and techniques, and with focus on sparring tactics.

The Leixlip Club held its fourth grading on the 28^th of March under the watchful eye of Master Brendan O’Toole and Mr. Brian Behan. Both instructors would like to acknowledge the hard work put in by all of the students in the preparation for their grading and offer their congratulations to all of the successful candidates listed below:

Mister Nicolae Mesina will be hosting a sparring class on the first Friday of every month, the next is this coming friday the 5th of April.
The Class will be open to INTA blue, red and black belts.

This is a great opportunity to train under one of the most experienced sparring coaches in Ireland; Mister Mesina was previously the Moldavian National Team sparring coach.
