On Sunday 15th January, Rush TKD School hosted this years First Aid Course for instructors and assistance instructors of the INTA. The course was held in the Rush Community Centre and was attended by 25 instructors and assistant instructors including Master O’Toole, Master Douglas and Master Martin. This was a very intensive first aid course with lots of theory and also plenty of hands on practice. Topics covered on the day included accident scene management, patient assessments, wounds, fractures, bleeding, unconscious patients and medical/cardiac and respiratory emergencies. A major emphasis on CRP and training on the defibrillator was also given. We would like to thank Maurice and Michael for their expertise in delivering this course. It was an extremely informative and enjoyable day both theoretically and practically and hopefully we will not need to put into practice was learnt on this course any time soon!
