INTA members at US World Taekwon-Do Camp

On Saturday the 12th June 2010 seven members of the Irish National Taekwon-Do Association travelled to Denver, Colorado, USA for a World Taekwon-Do Camp under the direction of Grand Master Charles E Sereff 9th Degree & Senior Master Renee Sereff 8th Degree and the United States Taekwon-Do Federation (U.S.T.F). The training camp ran from 13th June 2010 until 18th June 2010. There were 100 Taekwon-Do exponents from all states of America, 17 from various parts of Australia and 7 members from the I.N.T.A. The training camp was held in the beautiful Snow Mountain Ranch high in the Rocky Mountains, Denver, Colorado amid amazing scenery and high altitudes.  It was an extensive week of Taekwon-Do training commencing daily with patterns at sunrise, warm ups at 6.30am, training sessions 9.00 am until 12.00 pm & 2.00 pm until 5.00 pm daily then social events in the evenings i.e Nature walk, Campfire, Awards Night, War Games & on the Thursday night a farewell party. It was a great week of training and many new Taekwon-Do friends were made. The very best of the USTF Instructors led the training most notable Grand Master Sereff himself, Senior Master Renee Sereff and the Technical Director of the USTF Grand Master Mike Winegar. Thursday was International Day, and the classes were taken by the International Instructors, Australia’s classes by Master Charles Birch & Mr Donal Byrne 5th Degree, and Ireland’s classes were led by Ms Lucia McCarthy & Ms Ann McCarthy. World Camp 2012 will be held in Colorado Springs and we are looking forward to it already.
